Batyrzhan Jukembayev Impresses Against Ivan Redkach
In a junior welterweight showdown, Batyrzhan “777” Jukembayev (23-1, 17KO) made easy work of Ivan “El Terrible” Redkach (24-7-1, 19KO).
777 controlled the fight with those power jabs, straight left hands, and right hooks. It looked like a glorified sparring session, as Jukembayev repeatedly landed hard punches round after round.
Redkach fought in retreat mode and never looked to mount any kind of offense. His corner threatened to stop the fight if he didn’t start fighting back. As the fight continued El Terrible kept taking abuse to the point the referee mercifully stopped the fight in the fifth round.
Jukembayev is on a five-fight win streak since losing to IBF champion Subriel Matias in 2021. Ranked #12 by the WBA, he has a long climb back up that ladder. Despite beating a Redkach that no longer has anything left in the tank, Jukembayev’s performance can be attributed to training with two-divisional undisputed champion Terence Crawford.
With this fight in the books, it’s time to target someone inside the top ten.
