John Bauza destroys Christon Edwards with ease!

Super lightweight boxer John “El Terrible” Bauza (15-0, 6 KO’s) notched another win on his record by claiming a second round knockout of Christon Edwards (12-3, 6 KO’s). Sadly for Edwards, the loss snapped a six-fight win streak since suffering back-to-back losses in 2016. Yet, it should be mentioned that those six scalps were collected from some rather dreary competition. Nevertheless he will now have to go back to the drawing board.

For Bauza, it was good night as he snagged the win and broke a twelve month period of idleness. The amateur standout and Top Rank house fighter will likely look to remain busy and not allow another year to slip past before getting in the ring. He will also probably look to step up his competition as well.

THIRD TIMES A CHARM

The night started off rocky for Edwards who began the bout without his mouthpiece and essentially called his own timeout. Later, in the final 45 seconds of the opening period, a thudding overhand left put Edwards on the canvas. While the shot was not all that clean, El Terrible appeared to have stolen his legs.

Edwards was seemingly still hurt after rising from the canvas. Bauza put Edwards down again with a powerful straight left. The punch initially straightened his legs then left him tumbling to the seat of his pants. Once again he made it to his feet only to be rocked on the chin with a clean and crunching right hook. The fight was waved off before he could fully fall on the canvas for the third time.
