New WBO lightweight champion looks to make his first defense in May
It appears that Raymundo Beltran will be coming back to the ring on May 12th in the undercard of Vasyl Lomachenko vs Jorge Linares WBA lightweight title fight.
Beltran is coming fresh of his over Paulus Moses to capture the vacant WBO lightweight title and will be looking to make his first defense of the belt. No opponent has been mentioned yet, but Jose Pedraza appears to be the front runner.
Pedraza is coming off a victory just this past Saturday over Jose Luis Rodríguez by unanimous decision. It was Pedraza first fight under Top Rank and now it looks like he could be facing Beltran next as he tries to win a world title in his second weight class.
