Marcus Browne wants Jean Pascal rematch!

In the co-main event of FOX’s August 3 telecast “Sir” Marcus Browne lost a rather shocking decision to veteran Jean Pascal. Despite controlling the majority of the action Browne was dropped three times and suffered a horrific gash over his right eye.

The gash was caused by a powerful head collision and was the reason that the fight was prematurely halted.

Minus the knockdowns, Browne would have won a comfortably wide decision. With the knockdowns, however, along with the partial eighth round that was scored, Sir Marcus lost his undefeated record and the interim WBA title one point.

Clearly…Browne wants his get back!

The Staten Island native wasted no time in letting it be known that he wanted some sweet revenge! The former interim title holder took to his Instagram account to transmit his feelings while still in his hospital room. With his stitches still fresh Browne issued his declaration:

“Small thing to a giant man! Definitely [will] be back ASAP you heard! And I want to run it back, got to ASAP.”

Marcus Browne – Light Heavyweight Contender

For whatever it’s worth Jean Pascal, has publicly stated he is open for a rematch with Browne. Although, the triumphant Haitian has already let it be known that if they clash again, this time it’ll be in Pascal’s neck of the woods.

“I’m not hiding from no one, so if he wants a rematch, why not? But this time around we are going to do it in my country!”

Jean Pascal – Interim WBA Light Heavyweight Champion

While the fight did not follow the script most thought it would, if was still very lively and entertaining. There should be few who object to the two rivals facing off one more time.

3kingsboxing will continue to provide coverage of this ongoing feud and potential rematch.
