Manuel Charr-Trevor Bryan deal reached for WBA regular heavyweight title
3kingsboxing.com has learned that an agreement between WBA regular heavyweight champion Manuel Charr (31-4, 17KOs) and WBA interim champion Trevor Bryan (20-0, 14KOs) has been reached.
A purse bid had been scheduled for May 28, however, the WBA was informed by both sides that a deal had been reached.
Charr won the regular title back in 2017 with a stoppage victory over Alexander Ustinov. He had been scheduled to defend the title against #3 ranked contender Fres Oquendo in September 2018, but failed a drug test which ultimately cancelled that bout. He has been inactive ever since.
Bryan earned this title shot by defeating BJ Flores via fourth round TKO in August of 2018. As of now, the details of when and where the fight will take place are unknown.
