Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs Alfredo Angulo set for cancellation!
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s fight with Alfredo Angulo is pending cancellation after the son of a legend missed a medical examination.
Originally a ten rounder at super middleweight, the bout is scheduled to take place on the under-card of Wilder vs Fury.
Chavez last fought in May 2017, where he lost a one-sided decision to Canelo Alvarez. However, he announced his return with hopes of putting the division on notice.
Angulo lost his super middleweight debut by split-decision against Sergio Mora in April.
This setback is just one of many that has plagued Chavez Jr throughout his career. In the past, he has battled weight issues and drug usage problems. As a result, many questioned his dedication to the sport.
Although he’s the son of an all-time-great, this news if true could be the final nail in the coffin for Chávez Jr and his boxing career.
