Hammer’s American debut to be delayed
3KingsBoxing.com has learned that women’s unified middleweight champion Christina Hammer is being pulled from Showtime’s January 12th Claressa Shields vs Tori Nelson card at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. We were told the reason is the German resident had an issue with her passport.
Hammer who recently signed a new deal with Salita Promotions was scheduled to make her American debut on the card against Lisa Garland. There is no word yet on whether a replacement opponent has been found for Garland.
There was hope that with Hammer and unified super middleweight champion Shields on the same card could possibly lead to a fight between the two in the near future.
