Claressa Shields Targeting Natasha Jonas For Her Next Fight!


Three-divisional undisputed champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (13-0, 2KO) may be looking to fight unified junior middleweight champion Natasha Jonas (13-2-1, 8KO) next.

For the past few days, Shields has been trading words with Savannah Marshall over a potential rematch, which will happen only if it takes place in America. She made that very clear during the post-fight interview after defeating Marshall for the undisputed middleweight crown.

It seems the undisputed champion is preparing to move on without Marshall by focusing on a fight with 3kingsboxing.com 2022 Female Fighter of The Year, Jonas. In 2022, both fighters expressed interest in the fight, with Jonas willing to travel to the United States.

SHIELDS MAY LOOK TO FIGHT JONAS NEXT

Shields, during a live Q&A with fans, dropped the bombshell about what fight is in the works to possibly happen next.

“I’m trying to get a fight with Natasha Jonas, in the US or UK. It really don’t matter [in] the fight with me and her.”

Jonas is coming off an incredible run last year, winning three championship titles in a row. She capped off 2022 by defeating two-time champion Marie-Eve Dicaire for the IBF title and is only one fight away from undisputed. Shields has several options on the table and has stated that her next fight is supposed to take place by April 15.
