Ryota Murata vs Robert Brant purse bid won by Greg Cohen
Greg Cohen Promotions successfully won today’s purse bid for the right to promote the mandatory fight between WBA “regular” champion Ryota Murata and Robert Brant.
Surprisingly enough, they were the only company to place a bid. Meanwhile, Top Rank didn’t have any representation in attendance.
According to Cohen’s, October 27 is the target date for the fight. Also, he states that the location will be between New York, Minneapolis and Atlantic City. There’s rumors going around that Murata could vacate the title.
Brant’s only loss came at super middleweight against Juergen Braehmer; an opponent he faced after moving up to participate in the world boxing super series.
