Conah Walker Wins a Decision Victory Over Lewis Ritson
In his latest tour of duty, welterweight fighter Conah Walker (14-3-1, 5 KO’s) defeated Lewis “Sandman” Ritson (23-5, 13 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision. With the victory Walker has hopped back in the win column as he entered the duel following a loss to Lewis Crooker.
In this battle, Walker got behind his guard and took a persistent, grueling fight straight to Ritson. While Ritson was a game challenger, Walker was giving him all he could handle with a bruising body attack and a litany of ill-tempered hooks that kept firing at Ritson’s cranium.
Throughout the prizefight, Walker repeatedly turned the pressure up in the final minute of most of the rounds. To his credit, Ritson fought back with intent, but none of his offense seemed to carry the weight that Walker did. This was evidenced by the fact that only Ritson’s head regularly got the bobblehead treatment.
When the cards were read Walker prevailed by unanimous decision to the tune of 98-93 and 97-93 (twice).
