“One Time” Thurman Challenged to Take the Conor Benn Test!

The welterweight division is loaded with good potential fights, and top contender Conor “The Destroyer” Benn (21-0, 14KO) is looking to do battle with former unified champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (30-1, 22KO).

The Destroyer is looking to get a deal done to fight Chris Eubank Jr as the family rivalry continues into the next generation. However, before all this took place, Benn was hoping to get a final eliminator with One Time earlier in the year.

Despite things not developing on that front as planned, Benn seems to want that fight to go down at some point. A high-profile fight with someone the caliber of Thurman would be a financial uplift regardless of which country hosts the fight.

Two-divisional champion Danny “Swift” Garcia called out for a rematch with One Time, after soundly defeating Jose Benavidez Jr in his debut fight at junior middleweight. Swift stated the reason for wanting the rematch was to avenge his first career defeat. Garcia’s father, Angel Garcia, believes the outcome will be different the second time around and that Thurman is not the same fighter.

CONOR BENN STILL WANTS TO FIGHT THURMAN

One Time still has the fighter’s spirit burning on the inside and quickly clapped back on social media.

“Danny Garcia can never pass the Keith Thurman test

You silly Philly boy. This is not a game, it’s not Street Fighter. But, I will still hit you with that yoga fire!”

Benn, with a desire to fight Thurman, was paying close attention to the situation and told the former unified champion to step out of the past.
