Dana White Looking To Make Mikey Garcia Part of Zuffa Boxing

White says a deal could be worked out soon

UFC President Dana White has voiced a desire to get into the sport of boxing under the Zuffa banner. His involvment in the Floyd Mayweather/Conor McGregor extravaganza last summer was obviously just enough to pique his interest.

Rumors abound earlier this year about him making the outrageous offer of $500M to Anthony Joshua. Most recently, he’s after four division champion Mikey Garcia.

White told Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports earlier that a deal could be worked out soon with Garcia. Of course it could be all talk, but we can verify the two sides have met to talk.

It would be an interesting move to say the least with White’s refusal to work Garcia’s most recent network partner, Showtime. White has also said he didn’t want to work with other promoters in the sport such as Bob Arum or Oscar De La Hoya.

Garcia has been a promotional free agent since his split with Arum & Top Rank. He’s recently been under the advisement of PBC honcho Al Haymon.
