Tank Davis v Leo Santa Cruz Moved October 31

WBA lightweight regular champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis’ (23-0, 22KOs) upcoming title defense against WBA super junior lightweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (37-1-1, 19KOs) fight has been moved back a week from October 24 to October 31.

CONFLICT AVOIDED!

The decision comes as the UFC 254 event will happen featuring one of MMA’s biggest stars. UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will be fighting Justin Gaethje.

At the end of the day it is a smart move by Al Haymon because Davis, who will be making his pay-per-view debut against Santa Cruz, is the headliner. Putting him up against a proven star in a fellow combat sport could prove costly.
