Darius Fulghum Stops Christopher Pearson Early
At the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada, unbeaten super middleweight Darius Fulghum (13-0, 11 KOs) scored an easy third-round stoppage over a helpless Christopher Pearson (17-5-1, 12 KOs).
Fulghum was in control from the opening bell as he punished his foe with a barrage of punches. In the closing seconds of round one, Pearson went down on one knee from a series of shots to the head and body.
The punishment continued in round two. Pearson was little more than a punching bag while Fulghum was in attack mode. What was a one-way beating ended in the opening minute of round three with Pearson soaking up shots.
Currently ranked seventh by the WBA, Fulghum continues to climb up the super middleweight rankings. After offering such little resistance, Pearson looked like a fighter near the end of his fighting career.
