Are Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather At Odds Again?

The on-again/off-again relationship between Boxing Hall of Famer and promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr. and multi-weight world champion Gervonta Davis appears to be back on bad terms. If you know the history between these two, then you’ll know that a lot of their disagreements have been in the public eye.

Their friction has stemmed from multiple disagreements or moves by Mayweather that were deemed by Davis as disrespectful. Back in 2020, trained with the current 135-pound champion and possible opponent Devin Haney in his gym. That would draw the ire of the Baltimore native who would publicly go after both men.

In 2021, Mayweather would publicly respond “nothing lasts forever” to Davis’s saying his contract was up. While things were still tense, Davis accused Mayweather of being jealous after electing to promote his exhibition bout against longtime sparring partner Don Moore instead of Davis’ fight against Rolly Romero.

WHY THE LATEST SHOT?!

This latest shot is a picture of Mayweather wearing panties. Davis has since deleted the image. The reasons for the post remain unknown to the public. Maybe Davis is venting frustration with negotiations on a new contract. Perhaps it stems from a lack of progress on a potential showdown with fellow unbeaten lightweight contender Ryan Garcia.
