Keyshawn Davis Tells Eddie Hearn How to Make the Andy Cruz Fight

The hostile rivalry from amateur to the professional ranks is already kicking into overdrive between lightweights Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (8-0, 6KO) and Andy Cruz. Moreover, Davis issued a word of advice to Cruz and Matchroom Boxing Promoter Eddie Hearn.

It is no secret that the history between Davis and Cruz goes way back. The Cuban sensation has defeated The Businessman every time they’ve faced each other. Davis, then a professional fighter, went to compete in the 2020 Olympic games and lost the gold medal in the finals against Cruz.

On May 6, Hearn announced the signing two new fighters. One was WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis. The other huge signing was Cruz, which caught everyone by surprise.

During an interview on iFL TV, Hearn mentioned wanting to make Cruz’s debut fight against Davis.

“It looks like Andy Cruz will debut on that card, the Alycia Baumgardner card in July . . . I would love for him to debut against Keyshawn Davis . . . that fight is a brilliant fight, and I would take that now.”
