Davis and Mares set to do battle in the first quarter of 2019
The long talked about junior lightweight bout between WBA champion Gervonta Davis and Abner Mares now has a date!
Mares called out the two-time junior lightweight champion a few months ago. As a result, the current WBA titlist quickly responded to the call out welcoming the fight.
Now, the former three-division world champion will get what he asked for.

The two will lock horns at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, California on February 9, televised by Showtime.
