Keyshawn Davis Wants Andy Cruz Fight as a Professional!

Since venturing into the professional ranks, lightweight boxer Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis (6-0, 5 KO’s) has been shining brightly. The amateur standout and Olympic silver medalist has already collected five stoppage wins, been signed to promotional powerhouse Top Rank and enjoyed favorable television spots. When thinking about his future, everything seems bright and lovely. When thinking about his past though, there are a few missteps. One such sore spot is his unsuccessful rivalry with Cuban boxer Andy Cruz.

Davis and Cruz are very familiar with one another due to them fighting on four separate occasions. In fact, it was the fourth loss which prevented Davis from capturing Olympic gold. Naturally, as a proud and competent pugilist, The Businessman feels that he is still the superior fighter.

LET’S DO IT AGAIN!

Not only does Davis believe himself to be the better overall product, he would love the opportunity to battle Cruz as a professional. And as he took to his social media to explain, things would be much, much different minus the tank-tops and amateur rules.

“Y’all crazy, keeping talking about Andy Cruz! I will bitch Andy Cruz! Y’all niggas crazy! We not fighting out of the country, we not going a little baby ass three rounds, with them thick ass 10 ounce gloves on! We putting grown man gloves on, eight ounces, and you cant pity-pat and try to run away from me nigga! Ain’t no pity-pat three rounds over here boy! I will knock that nigga out in about six rounds! And you better bet on it. I already hurt him in the Olympics finals, I already hurt Andy in the Olympic finals. Come on now, y’all know damn well that boy can’t fuck with me in the pro’s, y’all crazy, y’all see what I get into!”

To date, Cruz has not launched his professional career despite that being in play. If he was to finally breach that chasm from amateur to the paid ranks, he clearly has a huge fight with a very familiar adversary waiting on him! So, let’s stay tuned and see if there is another chapter of this on-going saga on the way!
