Diego Pacheco Stops Maciecj Sulecki in Six
While performing in the main event, super middleweight fighter Diego Pacheco (22-0, 18 KO’s) knocked out Maciej Sulecki (32-3, 12 KO’s) in devastating and clinical fashion.
Sulecki would come out and set a quick pace by working efficiently behind his jab and putting Pacheco on the backfoot. It was evident that Pacheco was not overwhelmed but simply content to download information while his opponent led.
By the third round however, Pacheco had settled into a solid groove, found his own jab and was consistently throwing in effective combinations. Despite remaining competitive, Sulecki was starting to show some preliminary signs of distress.
During the fourth, Pacheco was sinking in hard righthands with regularity. Nothing improved for Sulecki in the fifth. Then in the sixth period, Pacheco went to the body and knifed Sulecki with a vicious left hook in the belly that immediately left him tightly curled in the fetal position. Well after referee Ray Corona counted to ten Sulecki, was still writhing on the canvas. The win was made all the more impressive due to the fact that although he’d lost two times previously, Sulecki had never been stopped.
