Dillian Whyte throws shade at everyone!

The boxing world is still reverberating over Andy Ruiz stopping Anthony Joshua which has turned the boxing world on its head! Fans, promoters, and even the mainstream sports outlets all have had their fair share of comments.

One interesting take about Ruiz’ upset came from WBO and WBC #1 heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte. He previously lost to Joshua in December of 2015. Recently, the fighter known as “The Body Snatcher” gave his take on the upset, his thoughts on Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury and thoughts on his upcoming fight against Oscar Rivas on July 20!

On Joshua’s Loss to Ruiz

Whyte states Joshua overlooked Ruiz and was surprised by the former unified champion’s tactics during the fight.

“The fight…Joshua seemed not bothered. He was throwing punches and running. He was jabbing out of range, jabbing in retreat with his left hand down. When he got hurt, he didn’t know to hold, to tie up, to survive.

“It didn’t seem like he wasn’t bothered, didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. It was strange, maybe he couldn’t deal with the pressure anymore. He just seemed like he was there to collect rent.”

Whyte also said there is a flaw in Joshua’s game. He feels the former champion is open for left hooks. Noting their fight, Whyte believes that Joshua puts so much in his right hand, he doesn’t bring it back quickly enough to protect himself, therefore, leaving himself exposed for counter-left hooks.

The top contender went on to say he believes the former champion can come back from this defeat and believes there will be an immediate rematch. Believing Joshua would defeat Ruiz should they fight again, Whyte feels his rival is a fighter of championship qualities and would be shocked if he doesn’t take the immediate rematch.

He went on to say if he had the opportunity to fight the new champion, he would knock him out!

On Deontay Wilder’s Tweets About Joshua

Whyte blasted Wilder over claims that Joshua was ducking him by calling into question his credibility.

“Deontay Wilder sucks man!

“Deontay Wilder has been running from me for 600 days, 600 days, 600 days. At least Joshua went out and lost on his shield. He fought someone and lost on his shield. Wilder is a coward. He’s fought two or three Top 10’s in four years”.

On Tyson Fury’s Tweet to Joshua

Calling him “Tyson talks too much shit” Fury and claiming his telling Joshua to keep his head up was not genuine, Whyte states Fury talks bollocks all the time. He went on to chastise the lineal champion for not fighting him and questioned whether he is really the lineal champion.

“You can’t be Lineal Heavyweight champion if you don’t have all the belts!”

However, Whyte is wrong in this instance as he is referring to undisputed champion.

His Upcoming Fight With Oscar Rivas

“I got a very big, important fight against Oscar Rivas. Dangerous guy!”

Whyte noted that Rivas defeated Ruiz as an amateur. In addition, he stated his full focus is on the next challenge and serious sparring in preparation for the July 20 bout will begin next week.
