Daniel Dubois is set to return
UK heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois (10-0, 9KO), will be returning to action, facing Richard Lartey (14-1, 11KO).
The undefeated prospect is coming off a spectacular knockout performance against Razvan Cojanu. As a result, he captured the WBO European title and sent a message to rival Nathan Gorman.
Earlier, 3kingsboxing reported that Dubois was also going to join the camp of Jarrell Miller, who is in preparation for his upcoming unified championship match-up.
This is a stay-busy fight in route to what many UK fans hope will lead to a domestic level bout against Gorman.
These two talented, undefeated heavyweights have been exchanging words on social media. Dubois tweeted:
“I’m not far behind the big names in the division,” prompting Gorman to respond “Not far behind me!”
Promoter Frank Warren has even indicted that the two top prospects will meet sometime this year.
Lartey was scheduled to fight undefeated heavyweight Joe Joyce last year. However, unknown circumstances saw him replaced at the last minute. There is no doubt the fighter from Ghana is looking to take advantage of this opportunity.
Its worth noting the aforementioned fighter holds the WBO Africa title.
Look for this fight on April 13 possibly on ESPN or ESPN+ given the new deal with Frank Warren.
3Kings Boxing will continue to follow this story for further information.
