Daniel Dubois Foresees Lucas Browne as his Next Foe!
Provided that all goes smoothly, heavyweight contender “Dynamite” Daniel Dubois (18-1, 17 KO’s) is looking to stage one more fight before the end of the year. If what he is hearing behind the scenes pans out, as he told SecondsOut, then he will next face Lucas “Big Daddy” Browne (31-3, 27 KO’s) some time in November.
So far, Dynamite has only staged one fight this year, although he is on a three-fight win streak since suffering his first and only loss to Joe Joyce.
“It’s looking like November, from Frank Warren, I’ve heard. I think I’ll be fighting Lucas Browne, so all systems go! I want to get back in there and defend this belt.
He’s a tough lad, he’s got a big punch and you can’t take no one for granted in this game!”
SEEN BETTER DAYS!
For his part, Browne is on a two-fight win streak since suffering his third professional loss to Paul Gallen back on April 21, 2021. Even though Browne has not been a meaningful name or force in the division for quite some time, he could still heavily benefit Dubois. This is due to his #10 (WBA) ranking. Currently Dynamite is not housed in the top fifteen of any of the four major sanctioning bodies rankings. Therefore, if the heavy-handed UK bruiser toppled Browne, then there is an excellent chance this would inject him into the meaningful rankings.
Even though Browne would enter the would-be match buoyed by a pair wins, he is far from in a great place, professionally speaking. Over the past decade, the most notable achievements that Browne can claim are failing drug tests and getting knocked out in devastating fashion. With that being the case, if this match is signed, then naturally Dubois would be the favorite going in. First things first though, let’s see if Dynamite versus Dubois is actually made before running too wild with speculation.
