Caroline Dubois vs Jessica Camara Ends In Technical Draw
WBC lightweight champion Caroline “Sweet Caroline” Dubois (10-0-1, 5KO) retained the title against Jessica “The Cobra” Camara (14-4-1, 3KO) via technical draw. The WBC champion called for a unification with WBO champion Terri “Belter” Harper (15-2-2, 6KO)
Sweet Caroline was in attack mode from the opening bell with hards to the body and head. After landing a painful one-two combination, she put The Cobra on the canvas in the first round.
She drew blood early from a clash of heads on Camara’s left eyebrow from a head butt. However, the Canadian’s face was badly damaged from taking those hard shots. Before the start of the third round, the doctor stopped the fight due to the cut, declaring the fight a technical draw.
With this fight in the books, all focus should be on a unification with WBO champion Terri Harper. During the post-fight interview, Dubois made it clear what she wanted next.
“Terri Harper! That’s who I want. I want Terri Harper. Terri, I want you.”
Harper is coming off a big win over Rhiannon Nixon in September 2024. If this unification is made, the United Kingdom boxing fans will come out in droves.
