Fabio Wardley & Frazer Clarke Remain Undefeated In A Draw
In a domestic-level heavyweight showdown, Frazer “Big Fraze” Clarke (8-0-1, 6KO) and Commonwealth champion Fabio Wardley (17-0-1, 16KO) went to war in a draw.
These two heavy-handed fighters let the leather fly early as Wardley came out attacking Clarke’s body. However, Big Fraze took control of the fight with that thudding jab that opened a cut on Wardley’s nose.
The decorated amateur found a home for the uppercuts whenever Wardley attacked recklessly. As the fight was swinging away from him, the Commonwealth champion hurt Clarke with a right hand before putting him on the canvas in the fifth round.
After getting deducted a point for a low blow in round seven, Big Fraze came alive, landing punishing uppercuts and hard right hands.
In the championship rounds, Clarke targeted that bloody nose, hitting his opponent with brutal shots. Yet, Wardley refused to give up and came marching back with a flurry of hard shots.
With absolutely nothing left in the tank, these two men went to their reserve and fought hard. Wardley landed solid body shots that stopped his opponent’s momentum.
Yet, Clarke closed the show with numerous right hands. He even had Wardley against the ropes and out on his feet. When the final bell sounded, the crowd cheered as both men gave it all they had.
The scorecards were 114-113 Wardley, 115-112 Clarke, and 113-113 even. 3Kings Boxing agrees with the last card as this fight screams ‘rematch’.
