Farmer preparing to face Tennyson next instead of Davis
Tevin Farmer (26-4, 5KOs) will be defending his junior lightweight title against European champion James Tennyson (22-2 18KOs).
Farmer has been making headlines as of recent. He is being aligned for a super fight against Mayweather promotions Gervontae “Tank” Davis.
Farmer is a very elusive guy in the ring, but he is not so elusive when it comes to grabbing the media’s attention. He has publicly called out Tank Davis and even confronted him after the Lomanchencko vs. Marriaga Fight.
Since then, all eyes have been on this potential 130lbs super fight. The Tennyson clash is not an IBF mandated fight, but it might be one to give Farmer some more exposure.
All eyes will be on this match against to see how a fight against Davis would pan out.
James Tennyson will be heading into this contest trying to derail all of Farmer’s momentum.
He will also be attempting to aligning himself with a big fight down the road.
This will be his first shot at a title and he will do all in his power to not let this grand opportunity slip through his fingers.
Tennyson is a boxer-puncher with decent power to boot. He has a mighty right hand and his 18KOs in 22 victories reflect that. The question should not be if he has the potential to hurt Farmer, but “can he hit the elusive boxer flush with his biggest shot?”
Things just got a bit more interesting because this fight will be happening on the Saunders-Andrade undercard.
This ultimately was the precursor to news of Farmer’s multi-fight deal with DAZN!
Farmer vs. Tennyson is an excellent addition to this card, and fans are pretty hopeful that it will be a boxing masterpiece.
Tune in on October 20th for this grand attraction.
