Terry Flanagan, Rocky Fielding and Martin Murray looking to return to action!
3kingsboxing has learned former WBO lightweight champion Terry “Turbo” Flanagan (33-2, 13 KO’s)is just about all set to return to action.
Also making ring returns will be former WBA regular super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding (27-2, 15 KO’s) and middleweight contender Martin Murray (37-5-1, 17 KO’s). Like Flanagan, both are looking to return to the win column.
All three will appear on an MTK Global card in Liverpool on July 12, against an opponents yet to be announced.
For Flanagan, this prizefight will mark his first since coming up short against the hard-hitting WBA regular junior welterweight world champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (24-0, 20 KO’s).
Flanagan fought a hard match, but dropped a unanimous decision loss to Prograis last October 27. It was his second consecutive loss; the first being a WBO title bid against Maurice Hooker.
Fielding returns after losing a “dream” bout against middleweight unified champion Canelo Alvarez. The fight came fresh off winning his first world title against then undefeated WBA regular champion Tyron Zeuge.
Murray is also coming off a disappointing loss to contender Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam by majority decision. It turned out that if he would have won that fight, he may have gotten yet another opportunity at a world title as N’Dam is scheduled to face WBA super middleweight super champion Callum Smith June 1!
This card will be stacked with former champions and title contenders who have hit road-blocks but look to get things going back in the right direction!
