Yuriorkis Gamboa eyeing his PBC debut against a former champion
Newly signed PBC fighter Yuriokis Gamboa (29-2, 17KO) could make his debut against a top level former world champion.
3kingsboxing.com has learned that if Jesus Cuellar wins his upcoming fight against Carlos Padilla, he’ll likely face Gamboa this summer on a date that’s yet to be determined.
Cuellar (28-3, 21KO) is a former WBA “regular “featherweight champion who’s currently on a two fight losing streak. His last two losses came by stoppage to Gervonata Davis and a split-decision to Abner Mares.
Gamboa is on a three-fight win streak after suffering an upset to Robinson Castellanos in May 2017.
If this fight happens, expect fireworks from beginning to end as both men have been stopped multiple times in their careers.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
