Undefeated heavyweight Otto Wallin signs with Salita Promotions

Swedish heavyweight contender Otto Wallin (20-0, 13KO) has inked a deal with Salita Promotions. This is a good signing for the rising promotional company as they now have a wildcard in the division.

The 28 year-old spent the first part of his career fighting overseas where captured both the EBU and WBA Continental titles.

As a result, he enjoys favorable rankings within two of the four major sanctioning bodies. The IBF and WBA currently have him ranked at #5.

Wallin is looking to make his American debut on the under-card of the biggest fight in women’s boxing; Claressa Shields vs Christina Hammer to crown an undisputed champion.

The highly talented contender, now training in New York, would like to follow in the footsteps of Swedish hero Ingemar Johansson. Johansson won the heavyweight title in the U.S. by defeating American Icon Floyd Patterson in the Bronx back in 1959.

Although there has been no official opponent named, the anticipation for his debut isn’t going unnoticed. This fight will broadcast live on Showtime April 13.

3kingsboxing will bring more information regarding his opponent as the announcement is made.
