Ryan Garcia versus Tank in December?

In what could turn about to be a bombshell reveal, according to Henry Garcia, Ryan Garcia’s father, KingRy and WBA world lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (23-0, 22 KO’s) will be locking horns this December. Throughout boxing circles, the current belief is that Davis will next fight Leo Santa “El Terremoto” Cruz (37-1-1, 19 KO’s) in a pay-per-view bout.

Ryan “KingRy” Garcia (20-0, 17 KO’s) has been clamoring for a clash with one of the bigger names in the lightweight division. Although still fairly early in his professional career, Garcia enjoys a decorated amateur career which the native Californian believes has him ready for the big dogs. As only could be expected, Ryan Garcia’s confidence is currently sky high coming off his destructive one-punch knockout of Francisco Fonseca.

“I think the fight between Ryan and Tank is going to happen in December. Yeah, it’s going to happen this year. This is what we’re already planning, everybody agreed to it. He [Tank Davis] said that right now he is going to go after Santa Cruz or something like that, so he is going to do that first and we’re going to go after either Linares or Luke Campbell, you know. We’re going to go through these other boxers and then we’re going to meet at the end of the year.” ~Henry Garcia, Ryan Garcia’s father

STIFF FIGHT SCHEDULES

It makes sense for Tank to face Garcia in December if it’s true that he will tangle with Santa Cruz this summer. In fact, if the two theorized fights come to fruition, then Davis will have fought three significant and very high profile fights back to back (Gamboa, Santa Cruz and then Garcia).

As for Garcia, if he does pursue fights with southpaw Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KO’s) or former three division champion Jorge “El Nino de Oro Golden Boy” Linares (47-5, 29 KO’s), it will show he is not looking for a soft touch. If these fights do materialize for Garcia, provided he is victorious, 2020 could prove to be an outrageously successful one for the budding boxing star.

There certainly are a lot of questions to be answered. However, if any of these potentialities turn out to be true, then boxing fans have a number of fun potential prizefights to be announced very soon. Just make sure to stay plugged into 3kingsboxing for all the latest updates and boxing news.

[Why Team Garcia thinks Ryan Beats Davis] “I’ve always told people, just like Fury, Fury is a boxer, a boxer can always beat a brawler and Ryan’s got enough experience as Tank Davis, you know? Ryan’s got 225 amateur fights, he’s got a strong pedigree, he’s got 15 nationals, so there isn’t a style that we don’t know out there. Plus Ryan’s got the height, right, he’s 5’11, he’s got speed, power, he’s got the distance.” ~Henry Garcia
