Ryan Garcia Agrees to Contract Extension with Golden Boy
A contentious, public spat has been ongoing between highly touted lightweight prospect Ryan Garcia and promoter Oscar De La Hoya. However, some surprising news has finally come out of the open air drama.
3kingsboxing.com has learned that Ryan Garcia and Golden Boy Promotions have reached a contract extension that Garcia has described as the most “lucrative” deal ever for a prospect.
This all comes on the heels of a complete debacle following the arrest of Avery Sparrow, cancelling their scheduled bout. This set the young prospect on a social media rampage directed at Oscar De La Hoya and President Eric Gomez.
However, it appears that all parties involved have made up and are now ready to move forward. Obviously, money can heal a lot of wounds and hurt feelings.
Garcia also revealed that his next opponent will be Romero Duno (21-1,16KOs). They will battle in the co-main event to Canelo Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev’s WBO light heavyweight title fight.
3kingsboxing.com will continue to monitor this story and provide updates regarding the details of Ryan Garcia’s new deal as updates become available.
