Jaime Munguia will have a homecoming fight in Mexico for his next title defense


WBO junior middleweight champion Jaime Munguia fresh off his third title defense, already has a date set to make his fourth. The possible opponent would be Australia’s Dennis Hogan who is currently ranked #1.

According to according Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, he’ll return at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico April 13. This will be his first homecoming bout since defeating Johnny Navarrete in March 2018. Since defeating Sadam Ali in May, his last three title defenses have been in the US.

Hogan has been on a six-fight win streak since losing to Jack Culcay in December 2015. His last outing saw him get a unanimous decision against Jamie Weetch which catapulted him to the top of the rankings.
