Ryan Garcia Offers to Take On Jake Paul In Place of Mike Tyson

Popular fighter “King Ry” Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20KO) wants to step into the ring against Jake Paul, providing Hall of Fame Inductee Mike Tyson may have to pull out.

The boxing news cycle has been buzzing about Tyson suffering a medical emergency that required paramedics to board a plane upon landing in Los Angeles. He has an upcoming bout with Jake Paul set to take place in Texas on July 20. Reports suggest Tyson will be cleared to fight. However, this still hasn’t kept boxing fans from wondering if the fight will happen.

King Ry is interested in stepping in as a substitute. The Californian took to social media to offer his services.

THIS FIGHT COULD HAPPEN

Garcia is dealing with the backlash of testing positive for banned substances. As things continue to play out, King Ry could be looking at a one-year suspension from the sport. Therefore, fans shouldn’t be surprised by Garcia choosing this route, as he’s expressed a desire to fight Paul before.

If King Ry gets suspended, the boxing world should expect to hear of a possible fight with Paul as a money grab. He could be on the verge of taking a huge financial hit paying lawyers to deal with the NYSAC commission, Bill Haney, and a lawsuit filed by Jake Paul’s brother, Logan Paul.

The reality is Garcia is popular enough to where this fight has a high potential of taking place. Even with his failed PED test, King Ry’s loyal fanbase continues to come to his defense. With that being said, Garcia versus Paul could be very successful when combining the two fanbases.
