Ryan Garcia Expecting to Finally Realize a Fight with Gervonta Davis!

When it comes to lightweight fighter Ryan “King Ry” Garcia (22-0, 18 KO’s), its best to take his upcoming fight announcements with a grain of salt. This is because of his spotty history of pulling out of fights. King Ry notoriously first left Regular WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (27-0, 25 KO’s) and then later Javier Fortuna twisting in the wind. It got so bad that many began questioning if Garcia was earnestly interested in continuing his career.

Let King Ry tell it however, not only is he still committed, he is ready to dominate the division. Up first, he will take on the aforementioned Javier Fortuna. If successful over Fortuna, the win should bleed directly into a showdown with Tank Davis. And as mentioned before, it was in relation to a dustup with Tank that initially began the dissolving of his believability. This is why these next two dustups, if they take place, are of such dire importance to Garcia.

LET’S TRY THAT AGAIN!

“We’re all in conversations about my next fight with Tank Davis. We don’t want anything official until after I beat Fortuna because obviously that’s the main goal at the moment, is to defeat Fortuna. And then soon after that, we’ll enter negotiations. But both teams are on board, both teams want the fight. I know Tank wants the fight, I definitely want the fight and that’s the fight we are looking for in December. So, I don’t see why it wouldn’t happen.”

So let’s see if Garcia finds redemption by successfully staging, and winning, two previously unrealized prizefights!
