Jorge Garcia Defeats Kudratillo Abdukakhorov by UD
In a dominant performance, super welterweight fighter Jorge “Chino” Garcia (32-4, 26 KO’s) defeated Kudratillo “The Punisher” Abdukakhorov (20-4, 12 KO’s) by way of unanimous decision. Abdukakhorov would begin the match in aggressive fashion by setting a brisk pace and clocking Garcia with a number of sharp, head twisting shots. Despite The Punisher’s successful start however, Garcia was neither hurt nor fazed.
While Abdukakhorov was landing the more crowd pleasing shots upfront, Chino consistently riddled his opponent’s torso with thumping shots. This dedication was present in the first round and present throughout. The fight shifted notably in Garcia’s favor when he hurt Abdukakhorov late in the third period. The Uzbekistani fighter was able to stay on his feet but soaked up a brutish beating to the body.
Following this period, Chino was functionally the ring general and continued to torment Abdukakhorov’s body. The Punisher never stopped fighting yet it was evident that his gas tank had sprung a detrimental leak. Visibly weakened, Abdukakhorov was out-worked and bullied for the remainder of the duel. Therefore, there was no great surprise when the judges awarded Garcia the winner by way of unanimous decision with the scores of 97-92 and 99-90 (twice).
