Teenage Prodigy Guerra Set to Dazzle on Debut!
Cuban teenager Enmanuel Guerra – billed by world-renowned trainer Jorge Rubio as one of the brightest talents he’s seen – is chomping at the bit ahead of his professional debut.
Natural switch-hitter Guerra takes on Teodor Nikolov in Marbella on Saturday under the expert guidance of Rubio and feels well prepared to announce himself to the boxing world in style.
Guerra said:
“When I think of my debut, I think of avoiding nerves and going in there and doing my job. I’ll listen to Jorge and box well. I hope everyone will be impressed and see the hard work I’ve been putting in.
“I don’t feel any pressure. I just know I have to go in there and do what I’ve been training to do. I’ll stay calm and listen to my trainer. I’ll box around the guy and then the knockout will come.
“I plan to build my record over the next 12 months and hopefully I’ll be in some six-round fights. In two years, I plan to be one of the sport’s hottest prospects and everything will happen so fast from then.
“The fans can expect a great performance on Saturday. I will show the fans my skills, my speed and my power. They’ll see my determination.”
Also on the MGZ Promotions bill at the Palacio des Congresos are Guerra’s MTK Global team-mates Nav Mansouri and Ryan Farrag.
