Eddie Hearn Wants Joshua Buatsi vs Anthony Yarde!

Hearn, Buatsi and Yarde

After Buatsi’s pulverizing of Pokumeiku, Hearn is looking for Anthony Yarde next!

On the Dillian Whyte – Joseph Parker undercard, fast rising light heavyweight
prospect Joshua Buatsi easily disposed of Andrejs Pokumeiku in round one at the O2 Arena.

Buatasi started out a bit cautious. However, later Buatsi (7-0, 7 KOs) took over hurting Pokumeiku with a left hook before dropping him with a succession of hooks. Pokumeiku got up, but a follow-up assault concluded by another left hook finished matters.

Managed by heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and promoted by Eddie Hearn, the 25 year old Buatsi is clearly one of the elite prospects in the U.K. He is beginning to create
plenty of buzz on the domestic level in hopes to transition that onto the world level.

After Buatsi’s win today, Hearn said that he would love to match up Buatsi with another rising British light heavyweight prospect in Anthony Yarde.

While it may be a bit too soon for that fight right now, looking forward, Buatsi/Yarde would be a huge showdown in Britain.

Buatsi boasts a fluidly smooth style, power, and a calmness beyond his years. At 6’2”, he oozes
with talent and is ready to fight higher caliber competition. He is definitely a prospect worth paying serious attention to.
