Eduardo Hernandez Annihilates Daniel Lugo In Bounce Back Fight

In a junior lightweight showdown, one time title challenger Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez (35-2, 32KO) stopped Daniel “Caballo” Lugo (27-3-1, 18KO) in the seventh round.

For some reason, Hernandez came out looking to box instead of his normal high-pressure fighting style. Although he did a decent job at times, Rocky repeatedly got hit by counter shots while fighting off the back foot.

Caballo took advantage of Rocky’s lack of judgment and attacked the body. He had the one-time title challenger in serious trouble in round four after landing a hard, counter left hook.

After getting badly hurt, Hernandez went back to being that pressure fighter that made him successful. He attacked with relentless aggression over the next couple of rounds.

Hernandez landed bone-crushing shots to both the body and head. With his opponent bleeding heavily, he kicked into another gear by landing uppercuts, hooks, and debilitating body shots.

In the seventh round, the referee stopped the fight after watching Hernandez land several hard, unanswered shots. It was a huge bounce-back win for the one-time title challenger, who called out all the champions, including WBC champion O’Shaquie Foster, for a rematch.
