Evan Holyfield wins pro debut by premature stoppage over Nick Winstead!
Many times throughout the history of sports we’ve seen many sons attempt to follow in the footsteps of their fathers. Evan Holyfield is the latest to do so.
The son of Evander Holyfield a living legend in the sport of boxing got his career started off in empathic fashion. He completely overwhelmed and pummeled the overmatched Nick Winstead (0-2) on his way to a sixteen second first round stoppage.
Standing at 6’2, the younger Holyfield came out guns blazing. He quickly unleashing a fury of punishing combinations that ended with a hard right hand. You can argue it was a premature stoppage, but by the looks of the first few seconds a knockout was inevitable.
Now (1-0, 1KO) he’ll look to sketch out his own path as he progresses in his career. Will he be the “Real Deal” like his father? Only time will tell.
