Maurice Hooker vs Jose Ramirez deal is done!

UPDATE 6/5/2019

Maurice Hooker vs Jose Ramirez will take place July 27 at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas!

3kingsboxing.com has learned that a unification bout in the junior welterweight division is near completion.

WBC champion Jose Ramirez (24-0, 16KOs) and WBO champion Maurice Hooker (26-0-3, 17KOs) will square off July 27. We previously reported that this fight was a possibility. With it being all but a done deal, this news will surely be met with excitement.

Both fighters possess solid skills and power, and have put on some exciting fights in their short tenures as champions. Expect the fight to air on DAZN.

This may come as a surprise to some as Ramirez’ promoter Top Rank has an exclusive deal with ESPN.

If WBA regular champion Regis Prograis is upgraded to “super champion” prior to his fight with IBF champion Josh Taylor, this potentially will set up an undisputed championship bout between the winners of each fight.

Details regarding the location aren’t known at the moment.

3kingsboxing.comwill continue to monitor this story and provide updates once an official announcement is made.
