Michael Hunter v Hughie Fury WBA Final Eliminator Gets a New Date!
The pivotal heavyweight matchup between former world title challengers and current top contenders Michael “The Bounty” Hunter (20-1-2, 14KOs) Hughie “The Fist Of Fury” Fury (26-3, 15KOs) has finally been rescheduled for October 29. These two were originally set to face off on July 2. However, an illness for Fury temporarily postponed the bout.
Now that the fight is officially back on, these two will tussle in a WBA final eliminator. As it stands, the winner would earn a shot at unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KOs). Hunter is ranked #8 (WBO), #13 (WBC) and #1 (WBA), while Fury is ranked #3 (WBA). Needless to say, a win for either man will be huge, as they both look to earn another world title opportunity.
The fight will take place in the U.K., at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England.
