Tyson Fury Gives A Deadline To Make The Undisputed Bout With Oleksandr Usyk
The entire boxing world is focused on the undisputed showdown between unified champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13KO) and WBC champion Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury (32-0-1,23KO). Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, said it should not be a problem making the fight. It seems Fury’s demands hint otherwise.
When Usyk successfully defended the titles in a rematch against the former unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua, he immediately called to fight Fury or hang up his gloves. It was supposed to have been a rejoicing moment to hear the champion was not looking for an easy path to undisputed.
Yet, there was one hiccup. the Gypsy King was retired, or was he? As expected, Fury took to social media, swiftly un-retired, and accepted the challenge. Finally, the heavyweight division could see the first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
TYSON FURY’S DEADLINE DATE
With both fighters free, now is time to cash in on the biggest fight in boxing, and hopefully, things can go smoothly without any hiccups. Warren reassured fans that the negotiations should be easy, claiming the only trouble will be location and the fighter’s purse.
Fury is playing hardball already with threats to get the fight done. The WBC champion took to social media giving a small window for things to get done or he will stay retired.
“To all these suitors out there who want to make the fight. I’m going to give you all seven days until the first of September to come up with the money. If not, thank you very much, it’s been a blast. I’m retired!”
