Hurd eyeing a November return after injury
Unified champion Jarrett Hurd suffered a serious left shoulder injury in preparation for his rematch with Erislandy Lara. He has since been recovering and rehabbing said surgically-repaired left shoulder.
Back in April, Hurd won a razor thin split decision over Lara; securing the win with a knock down in the twelfth and final round. Afterwards, focused shifted to a potential unification bout with WBC junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo.
It is definitely welcome news that his recovery is going well and that he may return within a few months. It’ll be interesting to see who he faces in his first fight back.
