The WBC ordered Russell Jr vs Nyambayar on October 23 during their 57th annual convention in Cancun, Mexico.

The number one ranked challenger may well be the sleeper of featherweight division. Under the tutelage of trainer John Pullman, adviser Al Hayman and PBC, the man known as “King Tug” has moved quickly in his professional career.

Nyambayar may be unknown to the boxing mainstream. However, for those who have seen him fight, the talent is obvious. He is very skilled and advanced for a fighter of such limited professional experience. The 27-year old fights in a style that’s pleasing to the eye.

There has been no word at the time of this writing from Russell Jr regarding his ordered mandatory world title defense. We at 3KingsBoxing will keep you updated with any further developments.
