IBF Wants Miller To Fill Whyte’s Place

Pulev vs Miller ordered by the IBF

Kubrat Pulev was supposed to meet Dillian Whyte in a IBF heavyweight title eliminator. Once Whyte elected to fight Joseph Parker, it left Pulev and his team upset. They went onto to release a statement, voicing their displeasure in the situation.

A couple of days later, Pulev’s team announced that they were in negotiations with Alexander Dimitrenko. However, the IBF has thrown a wrinkle in those plans as they have ordered Pulev face Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller in a final eliminator for Anthony Joshua’s title.

Miller, undefeated, was last in the ring in late April. He defeated Johann Duhaupas by unanimous decision. He has never had an issue speaking his mind and was hoping the victory would get him a title shot against heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua.

Pulev on his end, perhaps is starting to regret pulling out of the bout against Joshua last year. He has not been in the ring since April of 2017, when he defeated Kevin Johnson by unanimous decision. Does Pulev finally have an opponent?

Will Pulev and his team take this fight? They have claimed to be in negotiations with Dimitrenko, a fighter Pulev already beat by eleventh round knockout. If they decide to go ahead and negotiate to face Miller, will Pulev’s team let it go to purse bid, in hopes of winning it to control the terms of the bout?

Miller, who has been vocal about wanting a title shot, now has a path that will take him that route. 3KingsBoxing.com will update the situation as more information becomes available.
