Is This Fight In Jeopardy?

Caribe Files Lawsuit

3KingsBoxing.com has learned that longtime Guillermo Rigondeaux associate promoter Caribe Promotions has filed a lawsuit in the New York Supreme Court against Rigo’s primary promoter Roc Nation Sports.

The lawsuit is in relation to Rigondeaux’s challenge of WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko in Madison Square Garden this weekend.

Roc Nation entered into an agreement with Lomachenko’s promoter Top Rank for this weekend’s fight. Caribe alleges that Roc Nation has frozen it out of participating in the big fight and filed for a possible injuction. Top Rank was not named as a defendant in the lawsuit. The court has the ability to block it from taking place but it is unlikely to happen.

This news comes after Rigondeaux missed all of his scheduled appearances today in Bristol, Ct for ESPN.

More details to come….
