Jack Rafferty Remains Perfect After Stopping Reece MacMillian
Undefeated junior welterweight fighter Jack “Demolition Man” Rafferty (25-0, 16 KOs) remained flawless by defeating Reece “Raging Bull” MacMillan (17-2, 2 KOs) by technical knockout.
It was a lopsided fight as Rafferty quickly began stalking his foe and peppering with probing shots. Over the opening two rounds, Raging Bull moved well enough to get out of the way while the Demolition Man started finding his range. In the third, however, Rafferty’s volume and accuracy kicked up a notch.
Sensing he was falling behind, in the fourth, MacMillan reversed roles and came forward behind a volley of impressive and mean-spirited straights and hooks. The attack gave Rafferty pause as well as bloodied his nose. The shift was short-lived as Rafferty took back over in the fifth. In the sixth Demolition Man hurt MacMillan to the body.
The torso torture continued in the seventh as Rafferty belted a wounded Raging Bull all around the ring. His distress was so apparent that his corner threw in the towel bringing the contest to a humane conclusion.
