Unified junior middleweight champion Jarrett Hurd has stated a fight with WBC champion Jermell Charlo will not happen next.
A few weeks ago, 3kingsboxing.com reported that Hurd had surgery on his shoulder. WHile training for Erislandy Lara, he suffered a slightly torn rotator cuff.
Hurd has made it no secret that he wants to fight a right hander next after two consecutive fights against southpaws (Austin Trout and Erislandy Lara).
He also mentioned two possible opponents for his comeback fight. IBF mandatory Julian “J rock” Williams (25-1-1, 15 KOs, 1 NC) and WBA regular champion Brian Castano (15-0, 11 KOs) of Argentina.
3kingsboxing.com will keep you updated as more information comes available.
