Jermell Charlo Tells Terence Crawford to Join the PBC Big Leagues
Recently a great sigh of relief echoed throughout the boxing world with the announcement of WBO welterweight champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (39-0, 30 KO’s) vs unified 147-pound champion Errol Spence Jr. This is due to a number of years that the dream match-up went unmade. With the now impending match, it is a predominant opinion that Bud will be facing the stiffest opposition of his professional career. Yet, let undisputed super welterweight champion Jermell “Iron Man” Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KO’s) tell it, Crawford still has more to do.
“Get in the ballfield, jump into the big leagues, the PBC game! . . . Y’all know who is running boxing right now, come on man, don’t be stupid and slow! Y’all know who is the main man in the boxing world, y’all know who pay the big checks, them Al Haymon checks. Y’all know where it’s at, the big dog!”
TIME FOR SWITCH?
One of the largest hurdles in making Terence Crawford versus Errol Spence was their residing on two different promotional companies and television networks. For years, the fans heard about this one or that one was on the wrong side of the street. Thankfully, the legalities were all handled behind closed doors and the duel was finalized.
To Charlo’s point however, whether good or bad, once done with Spence, Crawford is going to need some more big time opposition. With this being the case, moving over to the PBC just may be the best move to make. Who knows, Charlo could actually be trying to drum up a bout for himself! Despite the world dying to see Bud and Spence mix it up, Crawford and Iron Man have done a grand amount of woofing at one another in the media.
Win, lose or draw versus Spence, Crawford versus Charlo would make for one outstanding prizefight. Yet, no matter who fights who or when, 3Kings Boxing will be here to report the news.
