Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion, Joe Joyce has officially split from renowned Cuban trainer Ismael Salas.
Salas, who’s trained the likes of Yuriorkis Gamboa, Guillermo Rigondeaux and Jorge Linares has worked with Joyce since the undefeated prospect made his debut in 2017.
Curious boxing fans will undoubtedly question if the spilt could have any effect on Joyce. At the age of 32 and only 5-0, he is just beginning to scratch the surface.
In addition to currently not having a trainer, Joyce will not be featured on the Dillian Whyte vs. Joseph Parker card.
Alternatively, he has proposed fighting on the undercard of Joshua vs. Povetkin in September against fellow unbeaten countrymen, Nick Webb.
