Anthony Joshua Open to December Tyson Fury Title Fight!


The boxing community is being thrown into a frenzy! Social media is buzzing about a potential December showdown between WBC heavyweight champion Tyson “Gypsy King” Fury (32-0-1, 23KO) and former unified champion Anthony “AJ” Joshua (24-3, 22KO).

When Usyk defeated Joshua in the rematch, all eyes were solely on undisputed with the WBC champion. Fury immediately unretired after months of toying with the boxing community and targeted the unified champion. The Gypsy King has been on the verbal attack, especially after Usyk pushed the undisputed fight off until 2023 to heal old injuries and spend time with his family.

ANTHONY JOSHUA RESPONDS TO FURY’S INVITATION

Well, it seems Fury has shifted focus on getting Joshua in the ring. These two have a history as once they were supposed to have fought for undisputed back when AJ held the other three belts. In a recent interview with BT Sport, Fury stated he is willing to fight his fellow countryman since Usyk won’t be ready until 2023.

To show how serious he is about making the fight, Fury took to social media to publicly invite Joshua to fight for the title.

Along with the post, Tyson Fury backed up his invitation with a video to show he was serious.

“Before I announce an opponent, I need to do this, just in case. Anthony Joshua, I know you just lost the fight to Usyk, and you are beltless at the moment. I’d like to give you an opportunity to fight me for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world […] Let me know if you’re interested. If not, I will select another opponent.”

Joshua, not one to back away from a challenge, swiftly responded. If this is a serious inquiry, then he is game.
